I feel Get Fit has been very beneficial for me this year. I have become a stronger, more independent (near the end of the course) person because of it, and I'm proud of that. I've learned that it's not about what others think, it's about how I feel about myself.
You have to do exactly what's best for you and your life, not for everyone else's, and with get fit I have done that in order to be a healthier person.
Another point is procrastination on the goals that matter most to me. I learnt towards the end of the course that there are two primary conditions in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accepting the responsibility to change them. I feel I have worked hard in order to change my attitude toward physical education and learning that I'm not exercising for others but myself in order to become better than I already am. I have accepted the responsibility to work out with get fit to feel good about myself.
Another point is choices. I myself always have choices. either to try hard, or not at all. I believe trying hard will get me further. than where I am. Everyday is a new chance to choose whether I try.
Aside from that there are the excuses.
Most long term failures are the outcome of people who make excuses. I avoid excuses as best I can, however there are some legitimate reasons why I can't participate sometimes, and I recognize that about myself.
Overall, I feel like a better 'me' after this course, and I am happy I stuck with it and pushed through the hard times. (Literally.... We go hard every fitness day!) thank you ms.phillips for being such a great role model!
